it was so nice to be back as a family, celebrating mass! the singing is, as usual out of tune/clashing (sort of). HAHA

lunched at the CC near eychelle's house before going visit her pink bedroom (:
had some sort of piano-concert thing, before we decided on playing table tennis. i've never been that active since after christmas!

it was P5/P6 all over again when we found the bar for turning (the front-somer-ish one)!

hello all, i'm back from m'sia.
for those who didn't know, i actually went for 2 trips.
the first was from 13-18 dec (KL) and the second was 21-23 dec (JB)

aww, thought it was finally retirement time for me, yet we're going back down on the 29th to help them. oh well, we are such caring seniors (:

all right here's a recap (:

lessons were okay and there was even more homework than ever!
CIP was TIRING.
it was the longest CIP i've ever done. usually i sell my stuff off faster ): but it was fun walking around with lagger and "eating KFC". HAHA hope she doesn't read this!
dance night was okay and i'm sorry i didn't find it as good as expected ): don't throw rotten eggs at me! i'm not saying that it wasn't good at all. nut, janice, dewi and many other people were fantastic! but i'm just disappointed that the juniors were... not so good. guess it's the same in every cca?

then it was last minute RUSH preparation for camp!
we (ah ma, ash, char and i) were supposed to go buy all the outdoor cooking stuff. in the end those PIGS (yes, note the caps, bold and italics) were too busy having breakfast and poor ah ma and i LUGGED all the stuff back. well done hur. in the meanwhile kaiying and xiu went to get the tents. we (this time only ah ma and i) happened to reach school at the same time! so with some people's help, we went on the pitch the tents (this time excluding me HAHA). so basically it was CAMP RUSH.

first day was pretty good until we found cockroaches and maggots. I TELL YOU. eliza is the most cruel cockroach killer on earth! ask me if you want to know why. too lazy to type out (:
second day wasn't good. the weather ruined our amazing race, the juniors were utter retards at outdoor cooking and the PLC was nearly frustrated to tears. when the seniors came back they were all reall nice (: thank you! third day was mainly cleaning up and AGM. the nights were pure fun! on the first day we slept for 3 hours and 35 minutes and the second day we slept for 3 hours. first night we had the entire room to ourselves so we gossipped and "confessed" the whole night, and talked about EVERYTHING from school to even our sisters HAHA. (: the second day was cracking our brains over promotion. ARGH. all in all, the camp was fun (: though we didn't have the memorable campfire as usual, training camp (although it wasn't very train-ish) was good too! at least for me. since it's my last GUIDES camp, i shall just have to remember and cherish every single part of it. the disturbing our dear CL, the frustration over the guides and most importantly retarded memories of my beloved PLC <33.>

meeting after camp was duper unproductive as only eliza was the live one. i was too busy eating, kaiying was busy countitng money and ash was dozing. xiu was unbelievably awake (seeing that she had EXTRA sleep during the camp, HAHA) and charlotte was having fun drinking all our drinks HAHA.

i spent the whole fiesta wondering around with xiu xiu and we just ate and played. she played, i watched. HAHA
sisters came pretty late. one at 1pm+ the other at 4.15pm+ . she come only the fiesta closing already la.

chemistry was horrid beyond horrid
i've never felt so sure of failing ever in my life
it's not the modest kind of i'm-going-to-fail
it's REAL real real. seriously honestly absolutely

seriously. then i went down for lunch, went to see the guides, talked to wei ting and audrey and the thing still wasn't ready -_-

well, lucky the rehearsal ended early, at 4pm (: it was supposed to end at 5pm.
went down for guides! i actually was WILLING to go there. not dragging myself there for the sake of going. HAHA
erika and ethel came back (: good to see them again! it seems so long since ethel was my PL and had all the fun chopping the wood in a gu-niang way and exploding eggs :D i miss the seniors so much. well, i guess when one takes charge for too long , one loses touch as to how it feels like to be ordinarily blissful again. when we are up there commanding, planning, and racking our heads over how to raise the coy standard, i sometimes feel this pang of longing for someone to take over once more.

well, on a lighter note, it is honours' day tomorrow and i'm going to receive a prize ((:
as retarded as it is, it still is a prize after all, so i should be glad, yes?

hello all.
i wonder if anyone is actually reading this but the tags don't show it ):

anyway, this is going to be a boring reflective post. so unless you're prepared to be bored to death then please do not continue.

today priscilla said something thought-provoking.
it began like this. she forgot to go for her dental appointment yesterday and is now cursing herself because she has to endure her braces for another one week. but well, that's not the main point. what she said was "i'm so busy i forgot the time, and day"

true, very very true.
then end of the first term is fast-approaching and i wonder to myself, what have i done these 10 weeks? all i did was study, worry, plan, rush, and step into a hell lot of trouble. i haven't seemed to accomplish any thing, all the new year resolutions have not been achieved. not only the academic part, all other aspects as well.if i drop dead at this moment, i will be so disappointed with myself.

in the beginning of the year, i adopted a positive, happy attitude. i felt that since this is my final year in beloved IJ, i will work hard at all aspects, and i will lead a full and complete year. so i set out to work hard in piano, studies, cca, relationships, and who-knows-what other commitments. this worked well for awhile, before i realised, if i keep up this pace, i'll be tired out by the end of the year.

so when i started showing a bit of my frustration, people began to shun me. i don't understand, everyone has a right to be who they are, and you have no control over them, so why not try to work along. this was a naive and stupid mindset. it was then i found true friends. well, maybe not as true as some people already have, but these people were the only few who were willing to help me back up.

self awareness camp hit me hard, because although i didn't share, the rest shared and that touched me a lot. ms tan's words rang repeatedly in my mind. "you are not alone" i really listened to her and that created a large impact on me.

but now, as i once more reflect, i'm still being what my friends perceive me as. happy smart sweet cute and whatever other fallacious thinking people around me have. i am afraid to show the truth. when i'm unhappy, i bite back and keep it to myself, and when some people act all sweet and innocent, i have to stop myself from actually exposing their lies, for fear that people say i'm bitchy or i'm petty or whatever.

so you think i'm at fault. so you think you've been trying so hard. well if you're trying to win first prize in acting i think you've already got it. but even if others do not see through you i have. so it doesn't make a difference. you've got everyone else well wraped other your thumb but i will never never concede. that's because i know and i'm convinced by what i know. whether people believe you or me that's a different matter. but i rather stand by my principles then bend over without dignity just to follow the flow. thank you for your kind intentions.

i think i don't love you. i love you because we are related by the same blodd, but any more than that i don't know. people think i'm fortunate and i have a typical loving family. sorry, all that propaganda about how happy families are do not have any effect on me.isn't it your decision for me to suffer, humiliate and go into depression by failing grade 8? isn't it you who stressed so much on me being a science student? that now i'm struggling like an ant in a boiling pot of oil? inisgnificant yet in a torturous painful state? isn't it you who told me that i'm intelligent and that i should be able to get 260 for PSLE and 6 pts for Os? and in the end i ended up broken, pained and hurt. and i do not want that to happen again. will you just stop having such high expectations of me, and making me expect that of myself too? why is it i'm the one under all the stress?yet i am still least loved among all of us?

and as i was saying before, caught up in all the other things, i've been putting my faith behind me. (please pardon me, people of other religions) i promised myself that i will be an active member of church and continue to learn about my faith. but what have i done after confirmation, these 3 months? excuses after excuses i have found. guides, i'm tired, my friends are not going. but i cannot lie to myself. there's this emptiness i feel, and that makes me pine for catechism. again. i don't care if i revert back to primary school or lower sec, but i miss it, a lot. i miss seeing angie, dei, lucas and alll my class playing a fool and having "dialogue" sessions. i miss mcdonalling and talking to my bestchurchfriend. i miss the weekly begging for fries, i miss that super tiny room which we all complained about. in short, i miss church. even if i wasn't one of the popular people, there was still a group of people who accepted me for who i really was. no false fronts, no pretentious smiles. i could laugh or smile genuinely, and show my unhappiness freely. all those nice people just accepted me and even help to pick me up.

i used to think i was very fortunate to be in such a wonderful school, with a well-rounded education. but now, the new batches that are coming in are spoiling the image, and even people in my class are so... . i can't describe it. the words i am thinking of are too terrible to be said aloud. i wish to continue being proud of this school, and say that i truely belong, and that these 10 years are the best years in my life. but why is it so difficult? i can scream and yell at school functions and i can cheer and speak up for my school when others criticise it. yet deep down i do know that their opinions of us are true, and i'm just too ashamed to agree.

when you're busy, you tend to forget the true meaning of life. instead, it becomes a catty back-stabbing world where one steps on people's toes and climb over inflated heads to get to the top. yet, there are those in need those really pitiful one whom no one cares about, except for CIP and other reasons which they can benefit. but has anyone really cared for these? i'm not saying everyone in this world is a cold-blooded sly cunning evil snake, but in general, don't you think that people up till now don't know how to love? in geog, we learn that many countries only aid LDCs because of certain advantages, but they hardly do it with a true heart. St Francis said in his prayer "to love as to love with all my soul". where does unconditional love stand in this world? where do you find it? is it all over, like the sand in the desert? or is it like trying to look for an ice berg in the desert?

some, no, majority of the people in the present world emphasise on degrees, scholarships, certificates, money. i admit i do too. but that's because i'm living in a terribly disgusting competitive society. i yearn to go to a far away place, to escape and to avoid all conflict, in political, societal,or any other ways. New Zealand doesn't seem too bad, especially the rural areas. thoug no access to internet/ipods/psp etc, but i live with the simplest, with more strawberries and lambs then people. surely life will be more peaceful there?

i dare not hope too much for my ideal fantasy paradise world, but i only wish that the world will be more real. that there is a balance between material items and values, greed and selflessness. no, i'm not perfect, thus i can only hope for such things. fairly impossible to come true, but always believe that everything is achievable. if every single person just loved a little more each day, wouldn't it be wonderful?

and now i'm too tired to think and type anymore. all this stress is taking a toll on me. when the bubble around me pops, maybe i'll give up. maybe the fighting spirit has exinguished. maybe the IJ spirit has vanished. just maybe, maybe.

we need to live everyday like it's the last day of our lives, and make sure that we don't regret anything when the time comes.

had guides for the millionth time! can't wait for the 24 of June ((: right ashleigh? anyway, gave them ONE WHOLE MEETING to tie the freaking structure then end up LOOSE. so the PLs and a few seniors stayed back to RETIE EVERYTHING. including a quad, ALL stabilisers, and the roman canon ball. ash and i stayed till about 7 then the rest only finished at 8.30. actually if they didn't play so much they would have finished faster. but anyway well done (:

wnated to go for ngee ann open house but from the above, obviously i couldn't. and i skipped cyf again cause no one was going anyway.

the next day we started at 7am and i braided my hair (: thanks to the best french-braider in the world (<33!) style="font-weight: bold;">:D roman canon ball was FUN and mynah totally lost to dove! at least the PS and the PL of mynah were LOUSY :P felt a little off-colour nearing the end of the meeting and i had no guts to try the thai spread that ms koh brought. I'M SORRY!
tuition later was terrible. i was so sleepy and i was so lousy i couldn't do any of the questions. in the end i couldn't even divide 100 by 400. YES, GO AHEAD AND LAUGH.

i have avoided this blog for 10 days
10 hectic days!
on the 3rd day of school i had a camp
the first 2 days i was kept busy writing notes and keepingbthings for two of my best councillor friends (: [i'm not complaining!]
on the saturday right after my camp i had tuition 2 hours after fall out
and this week i have had a chinese test [ tuesday ], chemistry test [ thursday ] and a physics test today
tomorrow i'm going for piano and i'll be having tuition
what a week!

but whatever it is
this is my last year in IJ
i'm going to do more than just study
i'm going to live the year fully and completely and i'll make sure that i do my best in all that i do
i find what ms tan said for morning prayer very true
successes should not be compared to others
what you find lousy could be what people find fantastic and vice versa
so if you find my grades fantastic than you may have it 'cause it doesn't meet my personal standards

it's like i'm invisible. you simply say hi to me once in the entire 2 hours that i was so close to you. you were always either in front, behind, opposite or even just beside me. yet you don't even smile or talk to me. online you only ask me my school stuff or have really lame conversations. if you're unwilling to talk to me, then just keep away, tell me directly. stop having this half-cold war with me. i can't take it. i really want to confide in you, but it's difficult when i know that you're so close to someone i dislike. you make me ponder in agony. do you even know what you've done? you were so nice that time, was that just a show? i don't know if i should continue even talking to you, or just forget about you completely. i think i'll choose the latter. i can't believe myself anymore.

invest was fun!

reached school at about 6 plus
searched for ash and sherry and co.
and i dumbly searched all over for them...
except the den
omg i'm getting as bad as the crappy loser (:

AHAHA

anyway it started off with the school song
and a prayer service
recessional hymn was shine jesus shine!
i think the other schools and the parents got a shock!

then there were speeches
first was mrs seng
then the guest of honour Ms Tay (i don't know how to spell her name)
but if you look in the hall at year 2000
she was our head prefect and valedictorian
then she went to RJC and SMU
and got a thousand and one awards
AND she has already started her own business!

then came ah ma's speech
which i am proud to say was quite well done!

finally came the official installation of the student leaders
when it was xiu hui's turn charlotte and sherry screamed lah!

CHINA---INNER MONGOLIA COMBINED HUMANITIES TRIP
29 MAY TO 5 JUNE 2007

DAY ONE: 28/29 MAY

flew off in SQ812
first we went to the Forbidden City! "Hi Girls! Don't you like my panda?" HAHAHAHA
next to Tian'an Men Square with Mao's face! HAHA
lunch :)
then we went to Temple of Heaven, some Pearl shop, the yummy Tea ceremony and super cool Kung Fu show!

DAY TWO: 30 MAY

Silk Making!

PEKING DUCK--YUM

DAY THREE: 31 MAY

Marco Polo Bridge aka Lu Gou Qiao---pretty and cold!
Hutong! FUNFUNFUN
SHOPPING! :)))

DAY FOUR: 1 JUNE

flight to MGL :) yucky breakfast!
Xilamuren is the most beautiful natural grassland i have ever seen!
Err.. but with gross mutton dishes! ( to me)

suppose to "see sunrise and imagine how Genghis Khan felt but when i woke up the sun was already up! -_-" Oh yes, i woke up at 4:45 AM

DAY SIX: 3 JUNE

first stop: Genghis Khan museum
next to folk craft factory! yummilicious ice-cream!
HAHA suuuuuper fun free hour at the hotel doing ______ ______ :)

DAY SEVEN: 4 JUNE

DaZhao Temple! bought those sweet little camels!
museum where we mostly chit-chatted! oh! they had cool bones!
LUNCH! BEST IN THE WHOLE TRIP!
SHOPPING! my wonder-vellous jeans!
Wang Zhao Jun tomb next! didn't quite understand the show :(
to the domestic flight and finally home on 5 June morning!

argh had guides after that!

FINALLY

it's the last day of school!
ok, here's the day in chronological order (:

morning:
1) Mass in school-the P1s and P2s were so cute! ok their singing wasn't exactly good.. but it was CUTE (:

2) Report book collection-HAHA it was FUNNY

3)went home to shower and change.. took SO long to decide what to wear;kept calling Yue Xiang to ask what she would wear....in the end only Yue Xiang and i were wearing home clothes, the rest wore school uniform

4)lunch at Pizza Hut! instead of Sakae.change of plans cause eychelle was dying of hunger -_-"

5)went to Heeren first then to Far East..hmm i'm to lazy to type out all the details! but it was LAME walking with them!

6) home at about 5pm (: time for a break from all that walking!
oh yes i saw Janis at far east too (:

OMG harry potter is coming out soon!!!! and PIRATES gosh anyone wants to watch with me?

Guess what, i'm suddenly excited for the trip again! hmm but i do want unity people! can't we go look for something again?!?

argh that LONG LONG list of homework! can i just burn it away?!

HAHA eggy is one big idiot . she actually brought the wrong pair of shorts for me! and now whe looks like an easter egg wrapped in a big white ribbon!
